Twitter as first visual tools with stickers and “Twemojis”
Twitter’s version of stories that are called fleets, is the same as Instagram and Snapchat stories but without the additional engagement options of editing tools and effects that will certainly be well worth experimenting with and last week Twitter Took the first steps towards expanding the “Fleet” options with these new “Twemojis”
These are the new stickers which you can access by tapping on the smiley face icon in the Fleets composer and it provides a search option to help you to be able to locate the right sticker for the image or video post helping to convey a mood when added to your frame!!
You can still replicate these reactions by using the emoji buttons in your text tool but these new Twemoji stickers add more of an organic and layered variation which you can move around and place more freely.
We are sure we will eventually see more visual tools like this in Fleets!!!
These new stickers could be a step in the right direction keeping up with the other social media platforms that are already well advanced and evolving every day.
Twitter is also working in the background to further incorporate audio spaces into these Fleets tools. Users in the beta testing pool for Spaces can now create an audio space from their Fleets composer options by simply sliding the function bar across to “Space”
It is still too early to say whether Fleets will become thing, but they do have prime placement and the added attention of spaces could make them more of a consideration to many people. These visual enhancements and effects could take Twitter to another level and they are coming any time soon.
